...please stop looking at me

Set to “Show Off” from The Drowsy Chaperone, Abby Cass’ presents a commentary on spectatorship in her choreographic work “…please stop looking at me.” A female soloist (Cass) explores themes of presentation and distortion, juxtaposing theatrical jazz shapes with a contemporary modern movement vocabulary. Cass oscillates between subject and object, one who is seen and one who is seeing, and highlights when both notions can be true simultaneously.
